Homer Plessy Parent Board Membership Policy

At all times, it is the policy of Homer A. Plessy Community School to have at least one (1) member of the Board of Directors that is a parent of a current student of our school.  The parent board member will have the same rights and duties as any other member of the Board of Directors.  The parent board member will be subject to the same nomination process for membership as all other board candidates.  The nomination process is determined by the Governance Committee. The Governance Committee may propose candidates to fill vacancies as they occur, and such positions shall be filled upon majority vote of the Board of Directors.
